Before You Use Show It On

1. Image Quality and Preparation

Please remember that the quality of your input directly affects the quality of the output.

For the best results:

• When photographing jewellery, use a light box to achieve even lighting and sharp detail.
• Always use a plain background. Busy or patterned backgrounds can confuse the AI and lead to poor or inconsistent renderings.

Taking a few extra moments to prepare your photo will dramatically improve your final AI-generated images.

2. AI-Generated Images

The images created by Show It On are AI-generated reproductions based on your original photos. They are not the original images themselves, and it's not possible to recreate or extract the original file from the generated version.

3. Scale and Accuracy

We've spent many months perfecting the scale accuracy of generated images. However, there are two categories where you'll need to provide a physical reference for scale:

• Pendant necklaces: Please include a €1 coin, £1 coin, or a US quarter in the photo to ensure accurate sizing.
• Artworks: Include a 30 cm (white) ruler in the image for proper proportioning.

4. Condition of Items

When photographing used or imperfect items (e.g., a watch with scratches), please note that the AI will automatically enhance the image to look brand new. This may mislead buyers, so we don't recommend using the AI version as your main image for items with condition issues.

5. How to Present AI Images

We recommend using AI-generated images as secondary images only. When we first introduced Show It On at South Dublin Auction, we included a note under each AI image:

You may wish to do the same. Always proof each generated image to ensure the quality and consistency meet your standards.

6. Branding and Logos

AI sometimes struggles with brand logos or text-heavy designs, such as watch faces or branded packaging. We've worked hard to improve this, but we advise you to double-check branding details. If regenerating the image several times doesn't fix the issue, please let us know — and avoid using that image until you're satisfied with the result.

7. Continuous Improvement

We're constantly improving Show It On and will release regular updates to enhance performance and add new features. If you'd like to see a new category added, or if you're interested in a bespoke usage plan, please get in touch — we'd love to hear your suggestions.

8. What Makes Show It On Special

You might think you can create similar images using general AI tools — and perhaps you can — but maintaining consistency and efficiency is extremely difficult.
